Nestled on the banks of the Spaarne river in Haarlem, bieq’s atelier occupies a monumental loft w/ a view of an historic windmill. The studio is located in a typical monumental building with a distinctive stepped gable. This unique space serves as both Angélique’s living quarters and creative workplace, offering a serene and inspiring environment.

Angélique’s loft is the creative and business hub of the company. Here new knitwear garments are designed, samples are made and zoom meetings are conducted w/ suppliers and agencies from all over the world.
Angélique draws inspiration for stitches and finishing techniques from antique knitting books stored in her loft, architectural literature and Pinterest.
The space tells her story through personal items collected over the years and the photos of her travels w/ her beloved children. Her kids love to come by w/ their friends for an evening of Dutch shuffleboard or for some food as their mum loves to cook for them.
